Our Drug Product Liability Cases

Baum, Hedlund, Aristei & Goldman has been representing victims of harmful drugs since the late 1980s. The firm started taking on SSRI-antidepressant cases over 20 years ago and has been handling these types of cases continually ever since, longer than any other law firm in the country. The firm represented the widow of 1960's rock star Del Shannon and the family of comedian Phil Hartman in their antidepressant related death cases. Against great odds, attorneys at Baum Hedlund have prevailed in representing thousands of people harmed by antidepressants. Baum Hedlund lawyers fight vigorously for the rights of their clients.

We represent these children and their families because we believe they deserve justice. We fight and strive to help these families gain the finances they need in order to make their situation a little less tragic.

The drug product liability lawyers at Baum Hedlund have seen the harm caused by these drugs and the lives destroyed and therefore, have gone above and beyond just lawyering to increase awareness of the drugs' risks. Baum Hedlund lawyers have traveled to Washington, D.C. on numerous occasions, met with members of Congress, the FDA, and Department of Health and Human Services officials. They have assisted Congressional Investigators in their investigations of drug safety issues and FDA failures. Baum Hedlund has testified four times before the government regarding the increased risk of suicidality in children, adolescents and adults of all ages. During our February 2004 testimony before the Food and Drug Administration’s Psychopharmacologic Drugs Advisory Committee, our attorney stated, "Put [us] out of business for the right reasons — warn about these drugs."
